CBD or Cannabidiol is a compound naturally found in hemp. Unlike THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), it does not exhibit psychoactive effects, while it is finding more and more uses in the treatment of cancer, drug-resistant epilepsy, chronic and migraine pain, multiple sclerosis, glaucoma, anxiety disorders and depression, among others. Despite the fact that more and more reliable scientific publications confirm the effectiveness of cannabidiol (CBD) - it is still regarded as a relatively new and alternative remedy. CBD activates the cannabinoid system, which, among other things, protects the nervous system from excessive excitation of nerve impulses (and harmful influx of calcium ions); CBD exhibits analgesic effects (chronic pain, migraine pain, myofiber pain); Hasanti-inflammatory effects (e.g.: arthritis); Hassedative, sleeping, anti-anxiety, antipsychotic, antidepressanteffects(relieves symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder - PTSD); Reduces intraocularpressure in the eye (glaucoma); Has antiemetic effects and stimulates appetite (bulimia, chemotherapy); In addition, it has neuroprotective (protective effect on the nervous system) and antioxidant (scavenges oxygen free radicals) effects; It can be used auxiliary in recovery from strokes, in cachexia syndrome in the course of HIV infection, in neurodegenerative diseases, i.e. Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson's.
